This excellent album is not strictly speaking a live record. Many of the tracks have had additional tweezing, what some might call post production, I suppose. If what you wish for is a straight, as it were, live recording of this edition of the Mothers you should immediately turn your attention to You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Volume 2 or Roxy By Proxy or the video A Token of His Extreme. Highlights include Echidna's Arf (Of You) and Don't You Ever Wash That Thing? Oh No and The Orange County Lumber Truck return with a slower tempo and excellent guitar soli, here called Son of Orange County. Also taken at a more deliberate tempo is More Trouble Coming Everyday. All make this an album worthy of your time and consideration. George Duke referred to Roxy and Elsewhere as his favorite record from his tenure with F.Z. It might be yours too gentle listener-at the very least there is much to love here. One could easily focus strictly on any of the very accomplished musicians here if the whole and the tweezing and what all is not to your liking. For me, it's just short of essential.
